Negative chaos resistance undetectable
I have -30% chaos resistance and can't find a cause for it, maybe someone can help me with this. I have discarded all my items, all my auras are off, so it can only be from the skills. However, I haven't found anything in the skills that could be the cause.
Too bad you can't see what causes the -30% when you hover over it with the mouse.
What causes negative chaos resistance when it's not an aura, curse or item? Is it a bug?

Did you just finish act 5?

At the end of acts 5 and 10 your base resists get lowered by 30. This is visible for a (too short) while in chat.

ohh apparently I completely overlooked that while playing, a lot of things still overwhelm me in the game, I haven't really been playing it long and I'm still getting into it, thank you :)

Don't worry mate, even with all maximum resistance, your character can still die, easily.

I would hope so. Imagine how ♥♥♥♥ the game would be if all it took to be unkillable was 75% all resist. :steamfacepalm:

I can imagine how shet the game currently are when they spend 999 hours just to get their wimpy character killed by GGG's ridiculous game design.

GGG is so good at game development, for 10 years, they almost never tell players anything, assuming all players spent 100 hours on reading all guides before starting their first character.

But you haven't reach the worst part yet, good luck :D

Kitava. And that's perfectly normal, you end up with -60% chaos resist after you finish the story.

https://imgur.com/jveOtGs 100 hours to decipher this ancient 10 year old text. What could it mean?!?

But in all seriousness. Text came and went and OP missed it as mentioned above. No big deal, it happens.

Yeah it takes a lot of money to have a character that's actually tanky. You are expected to cap resists, get 3.5k hp and then go all dps.
Detergent May 10, 2024 @ 4:45pm
Being tanky is the cheap and easy part tbh.
Being tanky while also doing 35+ mil dps is when it gets tricky.

Items like Lightning Coil, Doppelganger Guise, The Fourth Vow, and so on. These are dirt cheap.
Getting these items with +3 double corrupting or even just a +1 single corruption is when prices start to get out of hand.

You just have to play Pathfinder or / and have a Mageblood.

Being tanky means not dying at all, which is 130k+ EHP minimum. If you mean just tanky enough to only die once every 12 maps, that's fairly easy, but will cap you at level 92 or so.

Being tanky does not mean being invincible. Even the most tampered hardcore player dies once in a while.
