Cosmetics: PoE Devs You Suck For This

Soooo. I found out about the cosmetic prices 10 levels into the game and was shocked. You're talking more than 40 bills on just armor and then hundreds for packs. This is so devoid of reality, it is so devoid of people who have lived day to day life or bought their own groceries or went to college on their own.

What you're saying is I'd spend three hours potentially wrestling inmates, have ♥♥♥♥ tossed at me, and stopping a riot for your angel wings?! Yeah yeah I chose this job, yeah yeah this game is free, yeah yeah I'm not their target audience then.

This isn't rational. 40 dollars on cosmetic armor or a videogame, 40 dollars on gas or some dumb helmet. Don't give me that dribble about how they fund this free game, it would literally make more sense to make the prices lower so more could invest.

What the devs have done here is trashy, and yes I know I have the option not to buy it, and I won't. This is lala land price gouging, I'm surprised this hasn't become more of a controversy. Cosmetics this high priced is as bad as DRM, Season Passes, paying for dlc already hidden in game code, THIS IS THAT BAD. No one should support this. Don't get robbed.

This isn't some premium idea or concept.

The reason for the "yawn" response is that this debate has been had so many different times, with so many different people that there really isn't anything left to say on the issue. If you want to delve into it feel free to do a search. But don't expect a whole lot of traction in this thread, as most have already said their piece and don't feel like retreading old ground.

The main issue i have with skin in this game is that without microtransaction you'll look like a hobo, i have yet to come across a piece of gear that doesn't look like crap and if i'm not wrong you can't transfer your skin from one character to another unless you pay a small fee, like ... wtf ?

and you are paying nothing for the game and any of it's gameplay elements, all the expansions are free PoE2 is free, you don't have pay to win.

So yeah, the prices ARE higher because that's what works for them

Now, that guy made that saying, over 2000 years ago, before the Roman Empire was even founded!
And it is the basis for why the prices in this game are so expensive for cosmetics.
Because people will buy anything they wish to buy at whatever price they actually want to pay.

Bottom line, don't complain about something that has been the same way for 2000 years before you were even born. :)
