Bane Occultist, Curses applied but no dmg... bug?
So im kinda new to this game, so i dont wanna call it a bug since i know ♥♥♥♥, but when i cast Bane it "always" applies curses, but sometimes it doesnt apply the dmg DOT. Even multiple times in a row, which leads to me dying obviously... And no im not stunned.
To prove that i have the first screenshot where a group of enimies are cursed, but didnt take any dmg, however im dead in that picture. In the second screenshot you see 2 frogs chilling their lifes with curses on them, but not recieving any dmg - me not being stunned or anything.
I also put the link to my profile build below!

are you lagging in these moments?

You have Despair linked to Bane, yet it doesn't show up in the screenshots, that implies the Bane didn't go through.

Even though you somehow come to the conclusion you aren't stunned, I still suspect that might be the cause, as the triggered curses from your Vixens still apply. Try speccing into Unwavering Evil which your Cluster Jewel enables you to. (Just having your Cluster Jewel Socketed will not grant you the bonuses listed.)

Had the same "sometimes off" experience when switching between having and not having that notable...

Stuns don't even have to be that long, so you might overlook them.

The other potentially possible reason for bane to not trigger but the casts from the Vixens to go through that comes to mind would be animation cancelling for spells at a very precise moment? Dunno if that is even a thing.

Okay i tried various things now for over one hour. And i found the solution.
And its sad but the truth, "Animation cancelling"!!
Yes, if you cast Bane and immediately click "walk" afterwards, it looks like you've just casted Bane but you didn't, or at least you didn't finish. So holing the left mouse button apparently is essential!

Thanks for all the solutions and opinions ! Stay safe and have a nice evening! :praisesun:

His problem is he is clicking and casting Bane at the same time, casting Bane takes time and if you move during that small window your animation will start but you won't finish.

Bane has a cast time of: 0.60 sec

So if you are clicking as opposed to holding down your movement button you will interrupt your casting.
