Can't get above 40ish fps?
So another one of these tech issues. I have tried fiddling around with the sound settings which didn't really boost my fps. I have tried "recommended settings" for my hardware and still nothing. I've tried looking for different solutions but other than an whole lot of talk about nvidia related things I didn't find anything that would be applicable to AMD.

Running latest drivers in case anybody wondered.

I5-9600k
16gig ram @ 4200mhz
AMD RX5700 (non XT)
LG 27GP-850-B 1440p (main monitor)
Dell U2419HC

Change the client to the Vulkan one if you haven't already.

Should have probably mentioned that I tried DX11, DX12 and Vulkan. Vulkan actually gave me some graphical glitches but no change in FPS.

Are you stuck at exactly 40 fps? There is an FPS limiter in the settings, or you could be using VSYNC with an unorthodox resolution.

You can also hit F1 inside the game to see performance graphs. This can help you diagnose what might be causing issues.

You can try disabling fullscreen optimization for PoE in Windows by going to the PoE folder inside your Steam games and right-clicking the executable to get to to Properties -> Compatibility.
you can get 50FPS with 4090rtx and 14900k, on low settings and 720p resolution

well your cpu is pretty arse buddy. I'm running an i7 9700kf watercooled and some stuff shows me the limit of the brick very clearly. gonna upgrade to an 13700 before poe2 beta, gpu is already a 4070 btw

It's not stuck at 40fps, no, Hence why I said the 40ish FPS. I have no vsync on.

Whelp, while I had no illusions when I build this pc. This is the first time that somebody called my cpu arse. Everything is playable for now. Just very much surprised that a 10+ game is unable to go beyond 40ish fps with the specs that I have.

As for upgrading before specs are released, you do you man. But I'll wait and see if it'll be needed.
