Offline would be nice, but that would give haxors a giant sandbox of exploitable content.
But with the offline product, modders would quickly become active and then there would actually be real content that would overshadow all the embarrassing sausage patches for many years.
This also happened with d2. modder has created a lot of content and fixed a lot of bugs. Many things have also been improved. all for free.
I believe it also happened with D1 as well.
this is a LIVE service, it will die before it gets an offline mode and it is nowhere near dying.
This game is a free toi playu live service. Note the "live" in teh description. Unless they plan to stop making this game, which will not happen anytime soon, and decide to make a pay to play offline version, we will never be able to play this game offline.
That's a lot of "if" aka very probably will never ever happen.
