quitting affliction league
i thought the community had a problem with super spongey enemies that can out-rival unique enemies/act end bosses and now they bring affliction influence that does exactly that to rare enemies. i'm at early acts and the league mechanics are making the playthrough dull and can't imagine how it scales so much to end-game monsters. what were they thinking?

Nobody is forcing you to do the same content over and over again. In fact, there is no other game that offers barely 20-30% of the content you can run in PoE, no matter if you're running a dedicated farm strategy or just playing the game.

Then again, the vast majority of the player base (per league) barely make it to T16 maps, yet alone are capable of farming real end game content, which to me sounds like a you-problem, not a PoE problem

No it's not, the main gameplay loop is to find new loot, not to do the same thing over and over again.

Maybe if you spent more time playing other games than sitting on these forums trying to make yourself feel better about the sad life you live of a 50+ yearold loser, you'd actually know that an ARPG is based around loot and gameplay loop, not the same content on repeat.

Once again, for your slow boomer mind. The main gameplay loop, of the ARPG, the ARPG's main gameplay loop, is Loot.
Loot, the main gameplay loop, is loot, find more loot, get more loot, get better loot, make the map faster, that's the loop, get more loot.
Did I say it clearly enough? It's loot, not doing the same thing over and over again, even the original ARPG's like Diablo and I suppose older MuD's was about Loot.

endless Atlas Maps?
endless nightmare dungeons?

Crafting, trading, standing around, getting banned on the global chat.
the last one is the true endgame. . .

my thoughts since the league start, wildwood comes in handy early IF you manage to get the warden of eaves so you can use that free +50% to res if you have no gems socketed in your helm. the servers, at least teh EU ones, constant *failed to join instance* and/or just crashing, on a rig that has been playing the game just fine for 3 years.

and then you always get killed instantly...
What's the use of more drops if I'm always lying on the ground or need 30+ minutes for a rare?
and forget animated guardian. With the best gear he doesn't even live for 3 seconds against multi projectiles.
I love it! You don't NEED piles of scarabs for juicy maps and there's a lot less predictability.

My advice: stop playing MF rangers and begging for auras. Be resilient.
