Yes. RF spell totems are not only viable - but extremely powerful.
you want totem life and duartion nodes, though. Area nodes are also very useful, but not as important.

To get the most dmg you will want to scale Totem life > Burning dmg > Dmg over time > Fire dmg. Easy 4 link would be Spell totem - RF - Inc. Burn - Conc Effect. Add Inc. Aoe on a 5l. Rapid decay on 6L
You should be fine with the aoe nodes from the templar tree since rf radius got buff.

Btw, at first the fire immunity sounds like the best thing for RF totems but actually it is even more amazing with something that needs to deal with reflect damage (RF damage doesn't get reflected). Now, eventhough it's nice to have the totems not lose life from the RF they can easily kill stuff faster than they burn out if they are not fire immune. And against bosses, no big deal since they are just totems and can be summoned again. Not sure if you have already noticed it but RF damage from different sources like multiple totems doesn't actually stack even if the areas overlap so the main benefit of having the RF totems fire immune is the ability to spread out the totems and have the "death zones" last the whole totem duration without the need to resummon after lets say 2-3 seconds.
A question. Does anyone know if Vaal RF can be used with a spell totem? Would be awesome :D
