Anyone Else Dislike The Shadow?

The stats are so low....Strength, Dexterity an Intelligence all start so low.
the skill tree starts off one way and branches into either life gain or putting up attack speed etc, I guess because he is like an Assassin, rather than casting spells.

I guess he is there to beat down bosses using daggers, rather than blades.
I will keep progressing with the shadow, see how I go. Upto Brutus in Act 1 as i just started with the Shadow

really? so far im not enjyoing the shadow, but going to keep progressing as im using poison attacks to weaken my foes upto level 15

I used Shadow back when he had probably the best defences in his Trickster ascendancy with chaos dots. Not bad at all

You can cast spells with Shadow, he has easy access to the right side of the tree if you want to use the gems that are more dexterity heavy. Trickster has caster stuff, Saboteur has mine stuff, Assassin has crit stuff. Witch is probably a better pick if you don't have a reason to use any of Shadow's ascendancies.

I think ive been leaning towards more assassin type stuff, with faster attacks and critical so far and using poison attacks and ice attacks

I made a critical hit poison spectral helix nightblade assasin some leagues ago and it was insane.

I got to clearing T10 maps on campaign gear ! with only a Wasp Nest bought for for 3chaos.
The build got nerfed a bit but its still strong i guess.

I simply didnt need to buy any item before T10 maps since i was destroying and having no problems to survive
Wasp Nest was too good for the amount of damage it provided to not buy for 3chaos

shadow is a good class it just focuses on ALL IN DPS and low ehp. But things like lethe shade is where you can make the character hc viable . Shadow playstyle = crit builds / power charge builds / poison builds / low life builds / trap builds

probably you should go for perfect agony to scale your damage over time with crit then. also be ready to be squishy. you wont have that much of ehp

i have 8 outstanding skills to put onto the Shadow.... not in a rush there so will decide what to do, i wanna transform him into a CYCLONE SHADOW later.....what act is that when you get the CYCLONE gem....im just upto the chamber of SINS in ACT 2

Going cyclone early on a squishy char will not go too well i think.
you will probably die a lot.

I once tried to make a melee Viper Strike, crit + poison Assassin work and it was pretty meh.
Did a lot of damage but was very squishy

If you go with Assasin i really think spectral helix poison is the way to go
