Silver coin drop rates

i know the patch note says 1 on average per map....but ever since i entered merciless i have been getting at least 1 coin every 4 map clears.....regardless of where i go....ledge, tidal island, wetlands, etc.

anyone else having issues??

It's just luck, sometimes I won't get a coin for 5 areas, sometimes I get 4 coins in a single area.

Been like this for me, except getting none is rare.

ìts all about remaining 0 = 1 coin for sure every map i find more then 1 most times! people that just run from A to B leaving out some enemys have a chance that one enmys they dont encouter hold the coin!

I found 12 in cruel Lab, across 5 maps. Then Silver coins ran dry for over 45min.

I don't know what to do with them. I loaded up my merciless playthrough with 7 prophecies. Only one came true: the blacksmith whetstone one. One playthrough later I got 66 silver coins.

You're supposed to read them and figure out where to go through from there.
Or you could give them to me...Your choice. :)

nvm....i found out through global chat. since they count as currency, the lvl of the area as well as how likely currency will drop affects silver coin drop rate.....so if the map level is too low below your current level, then you have a lower chance of gaining coins.

make sense since i was farming ledge when it was 7 levels lower than me

Yeah, at 7 levels below you, that's when the penalty to currency starts kicking in.
Mind you, I found an orb of Transmutation in an area 37 levels lower than I was, but still. :)

its still possible to find currency. the drop chance is apparently really low the higher you go

I just started a new character, got her to Flooded Depths, I got 6 silver coins in quick succession. They were appearing so quickly I started to wonder if their drop rate had been increased in a recent patch but no, it was just RND.
