Got into the game again after a year just to show something to a friend of mine.
Of course just browsed a bit around the mtx shop again.
What the actual f*ck is going on in there. 65$ wings? 30$ battlepass?

This isn't an indie game any more.
But I guess selling your souls to dogsh*t gaming and pouring most of the resources on how to scam players instead of fixing that pile of trash is normal these days.

Using the fear of missing out to grab even more money from people. Better play d3. At least you can unlock mtx there while playing.

True, gamers are pretty greedy. I mean expecting a company to run a game service with no income is pretty entitled and Greedy. It is also true of course that the cosmetic items are, of course, crucial to making the game playable right?

Don't buy the cosmetics if the value isn't there for you relative to the price.

It's a bunch of cosmetic ♥♥♥♥ that has nothing to do with the core game itself, get over it. Everything you actually need like stash tabs, can be gotten for like 30$... That's pretty damn cheap for a FREE game I feel is worth every penny of a full priced 60$.

They have put out more free content with Leagues than any game I have ever seen D3 being one of the worsts.

You can play this game completely free.

You can upgrade you game to awesome by getting specialty tabs(worth the money) and it helps to pay for servers.

Or you can buy more like supporter pack then get more. This is 1000% better than a mobile game claiming to be free and giving you a ♥♥♥♥ game and showing you ads all the time and trying to sell you power every time you do anything.

While I agree that the MTX are a bit overpriced it's a bit of a reach to call cosmetics MTX as predatory monetization. Cosmetics are just that, cosmetic, they have no impact on gameplay just make you look cooler. Predatory monetization policy is more P2W gameplay affecting MTX, constant pushing to $$$ store for power, etc. Cosmetics are just nice to have - I have 0 interest in paying what they want for a cosmetic but not getting it has no impact on me. I'll just use whatever free ones I can when I want to have an extra affect.

The only MTX really worth buying are stashes as you start off with a pretty limited stash (you get a lot of character slots through for your account which is nice). Waiting for a stash sale and you pickup the important stashes (Currency, map, etc.), still a bit costly but it's one time expense and similar to buying a regular game I guess.

You know that even the "free" content is getting worse with every league right? Maybe you've been sleeping under a rock or something. But merika f*ck yeah I guess.

I think maybe, just maybe, a lot of dev resources have been allocated instead to completing POE2 expansion.

Funny when he is displaying dota 2 cosmetics doesn't dota 2 have an huge battle pass? and each items has ''quality'' and some you can't never get and some they can sell for thousand and thousands of dollars? and each character has each slot of and there is so many characters in dota? and they have been doing for an decade or something? isn't this predatory then?

anything on the shop will always be there and they haven't changed the price so if you played 1 year before is still the same price and also you can't ''miss out'' something that will never leave the shop. also supporter packs have been the same just the league supporter packs have been changed to 3 tiers of prices.

No, developers are greedy. Paying for cosmetics is fine. but paying $60 for one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ item is insanity. its the same price for a triple A title. And that gamers is fine with this, is the problem.
