6link chance is ridiculously low
it is literally stopping me from playing this game. 1500 orb of fusing for a 6link or like me spending over 2k orbs of fusing and nothing.

its range...and 6 link not essencial at all..a good 5 link can do all content

Sadly, this is what RNG means. I got a 6l after 5 tries this league, and threw 3k fusings at a chest without getting a 6 link.

If you do not want to gamble and do not want to use the bench, buying what you want is also an option. Just farm the ex.

Atziri disfavour with 649 dps. I have finally 6L ed it with over 2.7k orb of fusing. srsly I have wasted over 10ex on just 6linking it but I guess it finally worth it. but it doesnt change the fact that RNG needs rework. srsly for high tier items it gets really frustrating. RNG for drop, RNG for divining, RNG for linking, RNG double corrupting(I guess I wont go for this one xD, not today).

I played 925 hours of this on PC. Never once did I find a Tabula Rasa, 6 link chest. I have spent 20-25 chaos orbs to buy them.

Today, for fun I played POE on ps4. Character level 3, I get a Tabula Rasa... think they are always 6L.

RNG.....

I can understand your frustration with 6 linking items, but the randomness is an acceptable part of the game. The fusing/currency sink helps combat against inflation in temporary trade leagues. 6L is a powerful crafting option and it should be gated in a certain way. The randomness in mechanics is a way to prolong the lifespan of games like PoE.

I made the ultimate Vaal Axe, then spent 4,000+ fusings and didn't six link.

Then I had to trade/grind for another 1500 and have someone else six-link it, because I can't find an actual area with the recipe in the mines (found 4 that were just hallways).

Yes, it sucks. It sucks more that you have to boring-ass-delve to even get the recipe, then hope it doesn't pop on a hallway instead of a room where you can actually get it.

OP: What did you actually link? Most things aren't worth linking--it's cheaper to just buy a 6L version. For the few things that are, no it should not be easier or 6L items would hold no value.

Now I'm crafting gear for me. When you spend upwards of 10 to 20 exalts just to get the craft base perfect, and cannot 6link after that... then you can chime in...

I've 6 linked on 100 fuses before. My point is do not gate the craft in delve where you might never find it (I'm currently like 500,000 sulphite in ilvl 83 delve, and have NEVER seen the area I need for the 6L recipe except only in a hallway where I cannot get it).

Six link items do NOT have any value now. Except if they are good items. I got two 6L unique armors yesterday and I vendored them for divines... how is that degrading 6L item value?

Fusings are your best option. Never expect to find 6l's unless your doing one of the gimmick farming methods.

That being said. 6l's are perfectly fine in their current state. You can get them for super cheap a few days after league launch, which is soooo much better than it used to be.
6l's are supposed to be part of the endgame, they aren't supposed to be easy to aquire.

Use veiled mods to go over 20+% quality or the syndicate benches. You'll have way more chances to 6L with an item that is near 30% quality.

its not a myth.. dont know where you get that.

20% quality means 1%+(20%*1%)=1.2%

The item's quality increases the chances of obtaining more links.

Please dont come in here spewing false information. As of patch 2.2.0, in the patch notes posted by the CEO himself, chris wilson...

When you use an Orb of Fusing or a Jeweller's Orb on an item, the item's quality is no longer consumed. The way that quality affects the result has also been changed. Each 1% quality improves the result by 1%. This makes the Fusing process 20% easier on 20% quality items, for example.

Why do you think I'll change my tune? Why would I ever spend so much to get the base perfect BEFORE 6L? If you did all that and THEN tried to link it, you're asking for it. Like I said, I would just buy the base 6L beforehand. Let's face it, you tried to get greedy and you paid for it.

Value is a multiplier to what the item was, not a flat amount. The 6L items you vendored for a divine were worth some crap fragments if they weren't 6L. How is that not having value?
