I found 1 on a level 1 map that smoked me, i had to go back and avoid it completely.
dont feel bad your not likely doing anything wrong its just the gasme needs some " balancing " in this regard according to some, others disagreee per usual on the forums.
some 1 started a thread to have the mechanic completely removed from the game, not gonna happen but an interesting read
I noticed that delve is quite a challenge. When i tried to do a delve for my level with a necromancer, all my minions died like flies, despite having +4 gem levels.
However, i didn't have much of an issue with Ziz's DD build. I mean, i still died a lot, but i also don't disconnect in dangerous situations.
To answer your question, are you using defensive utility flasks (armor flask with additional armor, evasion flask with additional evasion, spell suppression and phasing flask) with an uptime close to 100%? That can make a big difference.
One change that we got since you played last is Flask crafts. You can use your crafting bench to automate flask usage on specific conditions, like "use this flask when charges are full". As long as you kill things, you'll basically have a 100% buff uptime from flasks, which is very powerful with defensive flasks.
it's hard to leave when you have multiple characters hl , friends , etc
DD necro is extremely tanky when built correctly. High armor, spells doing half damage through suppression and hit/spell block. Then if you go the extra mile, high maximum resists.
The issue is that they changed up the standard magic/rare mob affixes and changed them to the last league's Arch-nemesis mods... The mods during the league were chosen by the player... so a) you had a choice to run them or not, and b) you knew they were coming and they were balanced around this fact. Now as a standard spawn... the mods are so deadly that you just explode before you know what is going on due to the pace of the game.
They basically just destroyed the game for casuals this league.
The Archnemesis mod thing on blue/yellow mobs is very annoying as well. I know they nerfed some of them recently but they still feel over-tuned to me (a potato casual as opposed to the try hards with min-maxed meta builds)...
Seems spell supression is the primary thing i'll need to look into. Didn't exist when i played last.
