How can you gift microtransaction items?

One way around this was for me to create my own guild and have my friends join the guild and then at officer level they could put microtransaction currency into buying tabs. However this was just for guild tabs I think. Essentially I think the far easier way would be to have you paypal the money to your friend and let him buy his own tab.

You could also gift them a steam giftcard with enough money for them to buy the points needed for one.
