Why wouldn't I vaal abyss jewels?
The wiki says thet vaaling jewels can only n have 3 outcomes: just making it corrupted and nothing else, adding a corrupted implicit modifier or changing it into a vaal-only unique jawel. Since abyss jewels have no unique versions why wouldn't I corrupt a good abyss jewel? It will either stay the same or gain an implicit modifier. It seems like there's no risk involved.

According to wiki you can only get vaal-only unique jewels by corrupting other non-corrupted jewels of the same base. So you can't get a vaal-only unique crimson jewel like fragility by corrupting a magic viridian jewel beacause viridian jewel and crimson jewel are different bases.

There's also a 4th outcome, rerolling into a random rare jewel. There's your risk if you want to keep it's current mods.

Can confirm, had this happen. Screwed up a pretty good roll and left me out a decent gem.

Fairly certain the rolls aren't equal either, it's a lot more common to reroll the mods or have nothing done.

I dunno though, just going off previous experience, might have to do a 100 and test it lol.

too big a risk to corrupt a 3/4xt1 jewel unless you're rich
