Best Summoned Minion?

As the title implies, I am trying to decide between skeletons, spectres, zombie, and golems. What are your experiences with any of these? Are there pros/cons? I am not too interested in min-maxing, but I'm not afraid of expensive builds.

alll are good and all need work to get right but as for the best i would say it woulds be animated guardian as that needs alot of pasives and good items to get right.
spectors-golums next and zombies-rageing spirets are about the same then skelatons
but the trick is in the balance of defence over summons pasives its the thing to wach out for to llittle in eather you will not survive
but a god should know that not a god

I had a summoner once that used summon raging spirit as right click ability, 12 (?) Zombies, and a golem, a animated guardian, accompanied by several spectres and got pretty far in the game with little to no pain (pre 3.0) I used the Baron SRS build for 2.6 with this build. I set it up like this: Zombies are up front taking all the damage, SRS doing their job hunting down everything dealing damage, ranged spectres to kill things from afar (they were the giant creatures that spawned carrion beetle type monsters... forgot the name of them) so I didn't have to replace them, and a stone golem that would regenerate my health just in case the enemies ignored my army. Pretty good. I'm planning on doing some kind of skeleton build this league but am farming currency rn with pizza sticks, yes I know "pizza sticks in 2017 LUL" but it's useful no matter what.

Depends for what you're using your minion. If it's a source of damage and distraction, follow the previous guys' advice and/or others.

But golems have the unique ability to be usefull for all type of builds, mostly due to the increase in stats they give (I use ice for crit/accuracy). Since they are not geared to be tank themselves, you'll need to recast them periodicaly but it never hurts to have one around :)

Not sure how much the jewels cost right now. But I know they can cost a bit.

Started my golems last week. Didn't die once during the 10 acts, gems to get started cost me 6 exalts. Im now 40ish exalts into the build (Almost have Headhunter banked) Love every penny I spent on it. Im also new to the game this league. Ignore my hours after me saying that please...
