Totem cast speed.

Im making a spell totem build, I just leveled and got a passive that adds 3% to totem cast speed. I put it in, however on my character sheet the spell totem casting speed modifier didnt change. I thought maybe it did change and I simply missed it but to test I refunded the passive which also did not change the cast speed modifier. Is the passive glitched, what am I missing here? The passive skill is not affecting the cast speed.

tooltip isnt reliable, dunno if it iust doesnt count it in for all spells. it doesnt affect my dark pact totems on tooltip either tho

sure, it works, it simply isnt shown on your tooltip

It doesn't show because of the wierd mechanics of totems. You cast a totem, the totem casts your spells (yes, >Your< spells, totem uses your base stats).

So there are 2 cast speed. The spell cast speed, which is your cast speed (it's still your spell) and the totem placement speed which is the speed at which you cast the totem.
Since they didn't put both of them in the tooltip, the added totem cast speed isn't shown, same with placement speed, so that there is no inconsistacy in the display.

But you can be assured that everything actually adds up correctly when you cast your totem and when it casts your spells.
