I mean it sucks you didn’t get anything amazing but you killed Maven, isn’t that an accomplishment?
I haven't read much about new Atlas, wanted to surprise myself, so I am not sure what I should expect,
the old Atlas had regions, corners, targets you got to explore and proceed,
the new hasn't much for me, just maps on a map tree and skill points on a map skill tree,
and the invitation to Marven.
Thats because I expected much from it, a master boss of the map bosses, something rewarding and new goals to proceed.
Now I have again "only" maps and a new Tier 8 level for another invitation where I now expect no reward either.
So why should I continue playing? I am really not sure, miss a goal.
And I am not trading, like to find the items myself I play with, so yeah its sad.
The new Atlas only really starts to show you the interesting stuff on hogher tiers, like there are now 2 new types of influence you can activate instead of the Maven on maps. Also, most players like the changes to the atlas since it's now easier and quicker to reach the later parts of the atlas, since you no longer need to get watchstones in several regions. You also are more free on which maps you want to run later, since there are no more regions and the atlas passives work everywhere. and with all 4 voidstones you cna also have every map at tier 16, for which you just have to beat the 4 bigger end game bosses, like the Maven, Uber Elder or the 2 new ones.
Every few maps you can already start to do maps one tier higher, to quickly move through the atlas story. And only the special bosses that require you to do tier 14+ maps have actually special rewards.
And recently there was a change to some loot filter modifiers, so you now have to update your loot filter so it works again.
but I dont think so because I expected any kind of a reward and I looked very carefully for something good.
And btw, its tier 6 not 4, first Maven, and I can already play tier 8 maps successfully so I will give it another try for another invitation.
But if you haven't all this knowledge, I would suggest to motivate player a little more after first Maven win. Its an important goal and step and it should be rewarded not only with a skill point. (which I got but which I also get for every new map so it was nothing special for me, no big reward)
I personally already spent lots of time in this game and all I am confident enough to craft on my own are flasks... since they only have 2 mods. I at least can't imagine how I could get my own equipment without using way more currency than what I would cost to just buy something. Also since the stuff you can buy were often just by products of others who tried to craft somethign for themself but got the wrong really good rolls, so it might be bad for them but really good for others. So without beign able to trade the good unwanted items to others crafting for yourself becomes even more difficult. And since the crafting bases are sometimes hard to get, like a high lvl flask ...
Looking at his achievements that is correct, he has in fact not killed The Maven
I think it is part of the problem, you enter the arena (my first try), kill all its monsters and then nothing happens, no rewards, no dialog, no items, no Maven, no motivation, only an empty arena.
Nico yes I am aware of the trading part of the game by Streamers, and that you can get much better then, but I like to play the game my way, to use the items I find ingame.
