I use the Kensington Slimblade, which is a fairly expensive trackball, but you can much less expensive ones.
Thanks a lot, thats great to hear. I'm normally using a vertical mouse but I heard that trackball ones are much better, vertical is not helping a lot.
Mx Ergo is already expensive in my country, Kensington Slimblade is waaay too overpriced lol
its well worth its price if your having wrist problems. other solutions would be to use one of those gel mousepads that have a gel seat for your wrist if you want to stick to traditional mice. cheaper overall and it helped my friend.
its funny to watch my friend try to wrap his head around how i do ♥♥♥♥ with my trackball mouse. xD
Yes, unfortunately trackballs are pricey compared to mice - I think it's the smaller market size.
There are a lot of hidden benefits, IMO, to trackballs. For example, as above, being able to do things that you can't do with a mouse due to not ever having to pick up the device to "scroll further".
the Ergo MX precision mode button though... in the right spot to either cause a problem mid game or set you up for excellent sniper control in a FPS game.
when your shots always land where you aim them and you get accused of hacking, you know your doing good work.
its important to not bend at the wrist
That's also what I'm wondering, I daubt that I can be precise with my thumb, my thumb doesn't have that much dexterity.
The problem is that my hands are big. I'm using steelseries rival 300 for gaming and even that is small so I have to use claw grip all the time.
You can use your thumb, but it takes practice. I still prefer to us fingers, hence the different trackball, but I have used thumb trackballs in the past. In fact the first one I ever used was a Logitech with a thumb ball.
No matter what type of trackball you use, you're going to have to spend some time, a lot of time, retraining yourself to use a new type of pointing device. It's not going to be comparable to your mouse dexterity in a couple of weeks. more like a couple of months assuming you switch to the trackball for everything. If you only use the trackball for games, or this game, it will likely take longer. So, just remember, you're making a big change, and it will take time to adjust. (Assuming you switch to trackball at all of course).
Considering the fact that whenever I play any game, after a while my wrist always hurts. Even when I don't play for weeks. I guess I'm stuck with it. So maybe I should give it a try
