Labyrinth - save progress?
I was playing for a few hours in the Labyrinth last night and fell asleep. I log back in today and go back to the Labyrinth and it is completely reset with 0 progress saved.

Is there any way to save your progress or can someone please explain how we are intended to do these?

If you leave the lab, you'll have to start again. You shouldn't need anywhere close to an hour, let alone hours.

https://www.poelab.com/ has the layouts of the day, exit locations are indicated as position on the map the are listed on.

I hope you meant you were farming merc or uber lab when you say hours, and not a single one for hours.

Everyone plays at a different pace. I know I play a lot less with a 60 hour work week and two kids.

Well I have 0 idea what people are expected to do in this Labyrinth so I simply explore every corner. I managed to find several hidden rooms with buffs.

Apparently most people just Leroy Jenkins through it, just not my style.

When it was current content those buffs helped quite a bit. There was daily races and other events. However using them can block you out of the amount of special keys the boss drops at the end.

IIRC, most of the special rewards for fighting the boss just comes down to killing him super fast.
The buffs from the darkshrines shouldn't lock you out of the bonus keys for killing the boss fast.

Yeah, people with experience know about hidden rooms and whatnot. The thing is, after doing labs over and over, most people will just ignore everything and will try to do the 3 Izaro fights ASAP to get the ascendancy, because lab is a very repetitive, boring and annoying experience. Ascendancy aside, enchants are the only thing that is worth in labs.

If you play this game long enough you'll probably start to Leroy Jenkins the lab in the future too.

Oh without a doubt I will.

On a side note, GGG definitely has enough content so I hope they re-vamp lackluster things like the Labyrinth rather than keep piling on new mechanics. I realize they are trying to keep the whales interested but it is VERY daunting for a new player to try and wade through all of this.

Content Glut is an issue for new users for sure.

I like the Labyrinth personally. Yes, it's slower paced than some other elements of the game, but that's okay too, not every aspect needs to be the same speed.

The lab has a bunch of useful rewards, and it also rewards exploration. As opposed to mapping which is just about how fast you can chain kill most of the time.
