Seeds where removed after harvest league, you can no longer buy those, either get them in a harvest grove, or buy crafts you need from the forbidden trove discord server

I skipped that league. You could actually trade those without using stuff like TFT?

you got seeds from killing stuff in maps and then you set up the garden. That is one of the reason harvest zone is super big. It is designed to have a lot more plants that you manged each time you advanced the mech. Instead they changed it to the system we have now. IMO it was a good move due to how easy harvest crafting was.
