Fix a 6-link with one wrong socket?
Hi all, need some quick advice. Got a 6-link chestplate that has all the colors right except just one, I have 5B and 1G and I need 6B, what is the best way to fix the chestplate? Is that method even worth it over just spending another few exalts on a new one that will have correct colors?

How hard will be depends on the stat requirements. A pure strength gear will have more chance to change to red, pure dex to green and int to blue. A hybrid will do the same, but with 2 colors (red and green for a strength/dex and so on).

Since it has 5B I assume it's an INT body armour. If that's the case you should get 6B using only a handful of chromes.

If you were unlucky to drop a STR/DEX armour with 5 off colors, it might be cheaper to just buy one.

The easiest way is to use harvest to change it. In general, google vorici calculator if you want to see the best option for using chromatics (but harvest makes things way eaiser)

It's a DEX and INT hybrid, requires the same amount of points for both. I've tried to use about 100 chromas on it before but only got to 5B, so should I try some more?
And I'm not familiar with Harvest like at all, I know how it works, but that's about it, idk what kind of crafts I'm looking for within it.

Socket colors are weighted based on the stat requirement of the item, low strength required items are more likely to roll non-red sockets than a high strength required item.

When you say "chestplate" that makes me think it's a strength base item, so having 6 off colors is hard enough as is. If the item you trying to roll has an int requirement it shouldn't be to hard to get 6 blue sockets with chromes.

If on your Jun missions you have Vorici in research he can change the socket colors on a item (without corrupting the item) to white (1-3 on rank 3 or 1-6 on rank 4). Harvest is pretty good are getting off-color socket colors as well.

Quick question: If I see a craft where it will say something about those white sockets, will it reforge the entire item's colors, if so, does the white socket stay there after I chroma it?

Was writing my post when you put this up. Harvest gives you options to change socket colors without rerolling all the colors.

I had the same thing with my cloak of defiance. I just kept chroming it since it's int dex

I might try to dump some more chromas into it and see if I get lucky enough. If not I'll look into the harvest options.
For me the best way would be Syndicate Vorici T3 or T4. It's cheap to buy tbh 30c/white for T3 and 40c/white for T4. As long its not corrupted you're good to go. If you don't do Syndicate and want it easily then you can head over to TFT and buy it from there quite easily.

TFT aka The Forbidden Trove (if you don't know about it) google it and you will get the discord link.
Cheers.

If you use a chrome on an item with a white socked you will lose it because chromes reforge the colors of all sockets, and they cannot turn sockets into white. When you use a chrome it may seem it didn't change a color but it actually did, it only rolled and ended up being the same color.

Now, about harvest crafting you may lose the white socket because all socket color crafts there says that will reforge the color of non-red/blue/green or 2/3 random sockets. The only one that guarantees you won't lose the white socket is the one that says that turns it white.

For your body armor you can get the harvest craft that will turn a non-blue into blue. That's the only that is guaranteed.

To make sure it's worth to use chromes on your body armor to get all 6B google vorici chromatic calculator. That will give you the average cost of usual methods (chrome spam or craft bench).

Yeah I've looked into the calculator and just spamming chromes seemed to be good enough, so I did, and after about 150~ chromes I got it!
