SUMMONER CLASS?

Im downloading the game and i wanna know is there summoner class in the game? :D And if there is is it hard to play?

I spent a few hours trying to find a summoner build and gave up because I didn't know what any of that ♥♥♥♥ meant. Try looking at his request from a new player's prospective rather than yours in which you know what you're doing.

I've recently started to play a Templar (Guardian ascendancy) with Dominating Blow and Herald of Purity, and it makes for a solid melee hybrid summoner build.

Although my laziness has kept me from getting around to finish it, there is a weapon that makes your summon skeleton minions take constant damage and a spot on the skill tree that lets your minions explode for a percentage of their total health when it reaches a certain %. Was fun with what little bit of it I had put together.

The easiest summoner class to make is the witch which you then get to necromancer via the ascended trials. Thanks to the passives I chose and the equipment I got, I can have 12 zombies, 1 golem, and 5 specters at any given time. Plus, I can summon six skeletons at a time for a max of twelve (some being mages) which can summon phantoms (up to ten) when they kill things, and that gem is a vaal, so I can summon a separate 32 additional skeletons (which can summon their own phantoms) when needed. All at the same time. And with the boost gems I've linked to them all, I rarely, if ever, lose a zombie. I've yet to lose a phantom, and I turned a miniboss into one.

can you link your build? just starting the game as well

Id make starter build 14 days from now Expansion and new season start. Get to know the game during these two weeks

That youtube channel seems like a good source to use, I even liked the how to use channel video, very well put together.

And on the official PoE forums, there's a subforum for all sorts of character builds, including summoner based builds that the OP is looking for. Lot more helpful than the Steam forums for such things.

That is true, but asking this on the poe forums everyone is going to tell you to play this game versus steam, you get a double opinion of like and dislike of the game. There are those on poe forums that will troll or actually give you a dislike of the game, but those are fewer in number than steam is.

All in all, the game is worth playing and if you like invest into it so it continues to stay great.

I am currently building a "summoner" build Raging Spirit with Summon Spectre support, and Zombies+Melee Splash+Added Fire Support+Stun Support, and Herald of Purity+Melee Splash.

I am thinking of changing to a melee build necro with Cast on Hit and link Raging Spirit to Frost Blade+Summon Spectre.

Lol, I used "Summon Spectre" I mean Phantasm support.

Looking for "summoner budget build" isnt a bad idea if you want a good idea of the basics. More advanced builds will require a currency startup or a heavy investment somewhere along the line. I agree with a lot of the others though, the PoE forums are much better for this. If you want to watch someone helpful for beginners, I recommend ZiggyD. Nice guy, good player, has excellent game knowledge and puts his information in ways beginners can understand. His builds are usually a little more basic, but they can be a good way of learning an archetype. He really helped when I started out.

Also remember there is a search bar in the skill tree. You can search for "minion" and see all the nodes that could be useful, then work around those. If you want to do it yourself and discover by yourself. You can go to the PoE wiki and look at uniques, search for "minion" or other kewords like that and find items that will help your build. PoE.trade is THE site to use for in game trading. Keep a note of that. Bear in mind, most builds tend to focus around a couple of skills as the main, then a couple more for support. So buildingfor every minion type is going to be a lot weaker than say, building skeleton only. Or summon raging spirit. Decide a main summon, then heavily support that minion. Use curses and other skills to focus on them. Zombies or a skeleton totem can be a good backup for any minion too.

If you want any specific advice give me a shout, I've gotten to maps with a cheap minion build and know my way around for the most part. Of course, there are plenty of others who know better. Good luck!

Well, I was particularly meaning the character build subforum where there is a lot of character types already planned out. I wasn't recommending starting a thread there lol. You don't even have to pay attention to the jokers responding to those threads and pay attention only to the OP of the builds that interest you.
