I played the game for hundred of hours before i bought anything.

That said, some extra stash tabs are pretty helpful in late game. I think currency tab, map tab, and at least one premium tab is a good buy. GGG runs at least on stash tab sale a month so look out for it.

#note on premium tab - you only need this if you plan on SELLING on trade websites. If you play solo or only buy stuff you do not need one.

Literal hundreds of hours enjoying the game before I made any purchases. I purchased stash tabs with the points I received from buying the supporter packs which also gave you premium skins. Stash tabs are not a must unless you have this overwhelming urge you can't control to pick up every piece of garbage you find.

I would highly recommend the First blood pack for a new player, its good value.

With the points from that pack you should wait for a discount on stash tabs as they are very regular, then buy a currency stash, a map stash, and 1 or 2 premium tab UPGRADES.

If you want to go further I would then buy a fragment stash, a quad stash, and a divination stash.

For me this is the bare minimum needed to FULLY enjoy the game, but thats my opinion.

I may want to get some extra stash tabs, but honestly it will take maybe hundreds of hours until you feel you need more space. The rest is cosmetic stuff.

What I'd recommend if you feel the need for extra space is 1 premium tab for easier trading (unless you go SSF, where you can't trade with other players. Aside trading, premium tabs are just for name and color customization), 1 quad tab to dump items, 1 currency tab and 1 map tab. Also, wait for them to be on sale. It happens every 3 weeks.

The skins are personal choice but once you start doing juiced maps you cant really tell. But since they added affinity id just spend 30$ to buy all the tabs it will save you so much time sorting which is the worst part of poe.

Ofc there are MTX, which are skins and stuff, but it is exactly that: Skins and stuff, they don't matter. Buy if you want, don't if you don't, no one except you cares ;P

Yeah I have every single special tab except Blight, because I didn't care for it enough. I just avoid the Blight events on the maps. I think I have 31 stash tabs in total, cuz I am also a lazy hoarder lol

OP: I would personally recommend getting one of the supporter backs for the upcoming league. For 30 bucks, you get some basic cosmetics, 25 dollars worth of points, which you can use to get a couple useful tabs. Currency, and Map stash tab are the two most useful in my opinion.

Fragment, Currency, Map, Divination - Tabs are very usefull, but they are not needed to enjoy the game.

Personally bought all those from the beginning because im a bit of a hoarder lmao, but good thing about all those tabs are that they stack the items in big bulks.

You are also able to make them public helping you selling much larger bulks of items. I would say if you really enjoy the game, wait for a sale and buy the tabs, because they will really help you in the long run.

Trading is such a big part of the game, unless you play SSF ( Solo Self Found ) that i would say that if you really wanna enjoy the game a hundred percent, i would suggest atleast buying the premium tabs on sale as a start to get yourself going until you find out if its really your game to play.
