Banned... for?

I literally got banned for "Third party software" but I've just been playing the game. No software. Nothing other than a fraps overlay and Ghub for lights on my keyboard. What's causing this? I've done nothing but... play?

Yeah, except that I've already seen other people complain of the same issue. I already contacted support, but that really doesn't help me in the meantime. I wanted to see if anyone had any explanation or reasoning behind it. I'm only level 22 and haven't used any 3rd party software outside of things that don't effect the game such as FRAPS. I really like the game and was considering putting money into it but jesus.

You have admin/bot chastising people who got banned without fault and I literally didn't do what they said I did. If it's that much of an issue, just idk... fix it? Or just be like: "Yo, you've played this alot. You should toss a couple bucks our way otherwise we're gonna start making dumb interruptions on your play time" "Sure broheimuth. Why not, I've already played for like 10 hours"

Do you have Valorant installed / running ?
There was a rumor / suspicion a while ago that something from valorant causes PoE ban. Use the search function if you're interested / got valorant.

Thats the reason why i dont trust all the addons. I have filterblade installed and not more, btw. im not sure what is really allowed and necessary/helpfull. On YT i can see 6-8 addons more often, but i have fear to get in troubles with my acc.

(my chars are all lvl80+)

What a weird outlook to have on this game. I played the game since it first came out on Steam and never made a purchase until 2019, and I was never banned. I am just saying there is 0 correlation between buying MTX and being banned.

No. I literally don't have anything installed other than general computer software and other games. I use the native GPUTweak for my graphics cards but that's hardware based, nothing that would manipulate the game itself.

Yeah, as long as you're not breaking the game in any way that would harm other players or steal from the game economy, I don't see the issue. I just have done NONE of that. Nothing added on to the game. It makes no sense. I haven't even looked for cheat software and I've only played the game like 9 hours but I love it. Just sucks it took my whole weekend away.

for xample there is an app where you click just on your item and it opens a window (not sure now, poe.trade or poedb...) where you can see in the second marketprices and all info. would be very helpful without searching in browsers. sry dont know the name but its a 3rd pty app and many YTuber use it.

It's a trade macro. While macros can be akin to cheating depending on what you macro it and how you macro it, using one to look up item prices doesn't infringe on this.

But say you had a macro that popped potions for you, that would be considered against the rules I believe. As there is a HUGE difference between using a macro to look up items, and a macro to by pass game mechanics.

Yeah, I don't use Macros for anything. Maybe GHub? I But I don't have any macros set. and nothing that would bypass anything. It's just to light up my keyboard, mouse, and headset

Yeah, it's a weird line. But again. I don't use any of that stuff. I literally downloaded the game and played 9 hours lol.
