you will need to make "mule" characters to use as walking bags of loot. stuff everything you don't immediatly need on secondary characters and you are golden.
of course you can decide to drop 20$ at any time for the convenience of premium tabs and resource tabs, but that's optional and you should only do so if you really like the game
Keeping things organized isn't P2W, because there is no contest on who can organize!
It explains how to trade without a premium stash tab.
Yes it's harder, no it's not impossible.
Heh. Just let the betas have their field day mate. xD
Stash tabs buff you to beat bosses and enemies. See how much sense those arguments make
=)
Please don’t be upset, this is not how you learn from your mistakes.
FYI... "F2P" games generate more revenue than Buy to Play or Subscription, meaning that game design of FREE content is made to funnel the player into problems that have the best solutions in the cash-shop.

"There are several kinds of free-to-play business models. The most common is based on the freemium software model, in which users are granted access to a fully functional game but are incentivised to pay microtransactions to access additional content without spending large amounts of time 'unlocking' it. Thus, free-to-play games are usually not entirely free. For freemium Another method of generating revenue is to integrate advertisements into the game."

Unfortunately most of PoE's MTX is behind a paywall in the cash shop, you cannot (as in other F2P games) just grind more to unlock them.
BANK INVENTORY EXPANSIONS (MTX Stash Tabs) are cash shop only, the 4 you get for free can get you to Act 10 (if you already know how to play and craft/manage your build gear). But for many reaching Act 10 is only considered the "tutorial" beyond which additional bank space is required. This will involve various types of Stash Tab to effectively store currancies, maps, crafting items AND to trade - facilitating ingame cash to be earned, giving access to powerful gear, often needed to play a specific build (some of which are advertised by streamers..).
Limited COSMETIC items can be earned if you "beta test" for GGG by completing challenges in the League content, before it either gets scrapped or added to the Standard version of the game.
Stash Tab Sales - Influence on Game Content Development:
New types of Stash Tab were generally released with each League, a practice that has been discontinued with recent League launches, it caused a lot of negative feedback from the community. The problem being twofold:
1. It was a clear money grab, following in the footsteps of predatory Asian "F2P" models.
2. New game content was (and still is) being designed around stash tabs use, and not primarily focusing on ARPG themes and play style. Effectively still manipulating the player into Stash Tab purchases.
End Game vs. Pay to Play
OP after Acts 1-10 you will need to pay for Stash Tabs of one sort or another, and it starts to get a little addictive...
Acts 1 - 10 will only take you to circa level 75, which in terms of earning EXP and time spent in-game is probably less than 25% into getting to level 100.
"I think I've heard around that 1-98 is the same time as 98-100.... So it depends on what metric you use. If you want to say your half the XP away from 100 at level 92 then sure.... But if your talking about TIME then 98 is about half way."
