Piety in the belly of the beast (act 4)
I found this boss to be too much for me. Got a tanky build that has allowed me to facetank everything until this point, but now I have to move almost all the time when fighting this boss.

So my question is, are bosses after this gonna be like this too? Or is it just this one?

Boss attacks that have very long wind-up or are in general easy to avoid, should never be tanked.

Thanks :) I beat her up again though, after realizing you could just die and resurrect at the last checkpoint without any seeming penalties over and over while she wouldn't regain her health. Not an optimal strategy if you were doing this in hardcore mode, yes, but for the other mode it worked. Her beam took me to almost zero health from full every time it hit me, and avoiding that was hard due to adds (accidentally attack adds sometimes when moving. And my Leap had a bit of delay every time too.

Thanks again :)

the beam is the main thing you need to avoid since it debuffs you really hard with bleeds. Once you get the hang of it, she's actually really easy.

I died like 20 times just to kill Kitava.

This is the kind of players they balance the game around. Kill me please.

This boss is very easy, but the entirety of PoE is based on one-shot mechanics. So yes you will have to learn to move and avoid mechanics.

I remember when long time I facetanked everything in HC. Went to dominus with party.
He was dealing like 10%-20% of my hp per hit.
and then he touchofgod-oneshot me. I guess double shock crit it was :D

Piety and Innocence. Horrible. Piety goes freaking nuts with that beam sometimes. I swear I've dodged that beam and it caught me coming back around. What's the top count on that attack anyway? 7-9? Other times? not so bad. I also seem to get really bad latency in this fight on occasion. One key though is not to panic, and yes, setting a mouse button to move only is helpful. Most bosses can be beaten, albeit slowly, with totally unsupported totems and cowardice. I don't recommend it. It was very dull. Bleeding, staggering attacks and explosives, and heavy freeze were all good for me vs Piety. Leap slam really benefits from faster attack support in this fight, especially, I find, or cyclone...

just go behind her when she fires the beam. dont run around like an asshat in a circle.
