Not sure what you mean by ;'appear offline' There is a /afk command you can enter in the chat bar along with a message to set an AFK message (the message is optional, jjust /afk will use a default message). The afk status is only displayed to people who send you a message though, it doesn't show anything on your character in other people's view. There is also a 'do not disturb' mode which will mute all messages to you, even whispers, and similarly give a message to whoever sent to you.

No. Bonus facepalm: Anyone can add you to their (ingame) friendslist to see when you're online, even if you decline the invite. All they need is one of your character names.

the main reason is
you play at your pace and other people spamming for carry, so I cant sell sheeeet because Dnd doest accept msg
