Can we finally do away with the stupid RNG?

And i don't mean for loot, though that aspect too should be looked at if we're being honest here (and assumably is, if ExileCon news are to be believed), but the utter garbage lottery that is socket linking.

There is no reason for six linking to be as.. difficult as it is and i hesitate calling it because it's really not difficult, it's just throwing fusing orbs at an item and praying for the infinitesimal odds to roll in your favor.

Seriously, why is endgame relegated to those who are lucky while everyone else can just go forget all about it?

And while there are builds that can make due with lesser setups, if you want to get everything out of your build then you need that six link item except you probably won't get it, not unless you buy it (extremely expensive) or hit the RNG jackpot (extremely unlikely) and i for one don't understand why that is.

Delving down to 1000 depth, beating the uber Elder (and now the conquerors or whatever they are called) should be more reliant on actual skill and having a good build than being the Golden Goose that just so happens to have crapped out the golden egg.

So yeah, great game but this pray for the RNGeesus ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ really needs to be toned down cos being unable to finish the Atlas, endgame story and bosses because whoopsie, no six linked items for you for who knows how many leagues in a row is starting to be backbreaking.

So u just wanna instantly be able to get a 6 link item without any work or grinding? That would ruin the whole point of this game. You get stronger, you slowly progress onto the next difficulty/tier. Getting a 6 link is meant to be very late game after a lotta leveling and grinding, cause otherwise u would skip on a huge load of the progression. Thats like getting an op level 100 item on level 6, its just not meant to be and would ruin the whole game by making it too easy and linear.

You don't need to pray. There is a recipe to 6l items, and there is a prophecy you can buy to 6l items.

So you can easily save up and get it guaranteed. It's also not that expensive to get basic 6l items. I got a decent 6l rare armor for 70c in league and its only 2nd week. They will get cheaper and cheaper

It's 1/1000 if you roll it with an orb or 1500 if you want a guarentee on your roll. Nothing worth complaining about.

You're never going to find it.
Not only do you need a build that can go all the way to Delve 250 or so, which is even harder now, you need to spend an insane amount of time finding Primeval ruins. Which are so rare, that finding 10 exalts and 3 Mirrors of Kaladria, which have a drop rate of 1 in 1 million, on the same damn map is much more likely!
By 50 thousand times!

There is also a prophecy for it, and you can easily buy them as well. You might not have the best 6l item possible, but you can easily get a decent one for a fair price.

There are also multiple divination cards that give 6l items, tabula, etc.

Tons of options available.

Yeah, all the other options exist and are helpful to use for a six-link.
They also aren't that expensive.

Still, you're more likely to get Headhunters this league by farming Doctor cards than you are of ever getting to see a Primeval Depths.

There is a service that gets posted on Reddit daily that allows you to just join another players delve and get the recipe, or alternatively there are trusted crafters who will perform crafts for you for free. So unless you are playing in SSF it really isn't that hard at all.

I'm just going to say this now. I've been playing since Feb 2013, and I have bought countless 6L's, aswell as gotten them on my own. The only thing I haven't done is the Vorci recipe or the 6L prophecy.

You're going to do whatever you feel is best, even if it's saving all your fusings to 6L your piece, either way the cost of 6L is determined on to you. As an example, For league I paid 11C each to get the card, The Chains That Bind, I spent 86C in total. My boyfriend is trying to get his Slivertongue linked, instead of buying one. It's 4-5Ex to buy, and under 6ex for the prophecy.
I'm also linking the same bow, mainly so my single target is better, but I do no need it unless I switched from Thunderfists.

Who said anything about instantly?

If i got slowed/stopped by a skill check, i wouldn't have any issues with it since that makes sense.

You know what doesn't make sense?

Artificial lottery system that exist solely to keep people playing because.. i guess the game doesn't have enough interesting content in it to keep people entertained after they've finished the story.

Huh, i actually never thought about it like that.. you'd think people played to become better, test the limits of their builds, not to run head first into a wall because the RNG generator didn't crap out the desired combination for a six link item that would allow one to take the next step forward instead of spinning in circles.

And i've thrown hundreds and hundreds of orbs at one 28% quality staff without getting even a five link to show for it aka who needs skill, when your endgame gates can be based solely on luck!

So you think 1,500 fusing orbs isn't expensive?

Last league, which i played for first month and half pretty heavily, i accumulated about 300 fusing orbs by just playing the game normally, running maps and blights.. yet six linking an item costs five times that and it isn't expensive!?

I don't know what you people do in game that shower you with fusing orbs, cos even had i played all three or so months, i wouldn't have gotten even close to the 1.5k fusings required to six link an item.

Bought one six link item, in Legion, the only league i've been able to afford such a thing.

Beyond that, i try to make due with what i have which is almost always nowhere near enough since fusing orbs don't grow on trees, at least not for me.

You make it sound so effortless, but i guess it's good to be lucky.. wish some of that flew my way for once as well.
