No, we are allowed to filter loot. Filterblade is just a pre made filter for people who don't want to make their own.

Nah filters are part of PoE and filterblade just lets you configure your filter.

Without a Lootfilter like NeverSink/Filterblade, you would drown in useless loot. :D
