Any reason why this game is not available in Hong Kong?
Title. I have been wanting to try this, but have been unable to get it through Steam. What's up with that?

Hongkong is part of China now, that has some implications, certain types of content in games are not allowed and some of the POE stuff falls in that category.
Also means that, if you want it, you have to go though the channels that offer a "china-fied" version of it.

Steam does not have rights to it in China. Another company does. Read this official thread.

The game itself should be available, just not through steam. Go grab the standalone from the official website https://www.pathofexile.com/news

I know that, but having it on Steam would be more convenient

Thank you for the answer, I've decided to use a VPN to get a US account and grab it from the website itself. The reason for this is that I want to be able to play this game with my girlfriend, who lives in the US.
