Multiple accounts?

I've been waiting to hear back from GGG support about reactivating/reclaiming my original account.. I understand they have a backlog due to the holiday break.

Anyway I'm wondering what happens if I create a new account using my steam login, will I still be able to use my original account when I finally get it back? what happens if I want to link the original account to my steam if I've made a new one using steam?

if you made an account via steam you already have a PoE account, you dont need any linking.

if you create another account with the website and you link it with steam, you will overwrite the previously PoE account with the new one. in that case only the support can restore the old poe account, because the old poe account lacks an email and password combo if you created it with steam

you can only create a new poe account with steam if you unlink the previous one. for unlinking you will need to contact the support, too.
