Is it possible to have cool armor in this game without paying?

I've read complaints from people unwilling to pay $40 for cosmetics that it's impossible to find good looking armor. Is this true? I don't want to waste my time on a game that requires me to spend so much money to have something that looks decent.

it requires more than hundreds of dollars to look cool anything in the game looks terrible unless u buy some cosmetics

Some of those natural sets look neat, there's obviously a big difference in premium though. I wonder how expensive those premium sets were and how much grind it took to get those natural ones.

I don't really think any of the cosmetics look that bad, other than the no pants thing lol. But no it doesn't require hundreds or thousands of dollars to look good. Some of the vanilla gear looks awesome IMO and I've gotten quite a few nice looking cosmetics just from playing the leagues. Never once have brought a cosmetic. Stash tabs are where its at if you want to buy anything. Although there is very easy ways around buying numerous stash tabs. All you really NEED if you want to get serious is a clan stash tab and just use alts as your stashes. I did that for years before I started buying the tabs. It was very easy but obviously having more tabs and types of tabs is even more convenient.

There are 3 free MTX rewards every league you can work on getting. So there is def the possibility of nicer looking skins for free.

Also. Consider you pay 30-60 bucks for a game. Armor sets here start as low as 30 if i recall and you get the game free. They also have the option to upgrade sets later on if you wish. And as mentioned above , you can do the challenges for the free mtx as well.

There's the league challenge cosmetic rewards, 12 or 24 or 36...

You can try to win the league races that happen occasionally... Managed to win a full gothic armor set, some pets(?), aura effects and footprints over the years...

Of course, looking good is subjective. Some like dark and gritty while others like rainbows and unicorns.

no it is not and thats by system...everything made for the main game looks terrible on purpose so you have to buy some shiny mtx to even remotely look decent...just stop here and look for some other game to sink your time in. this just isnt worth it

You can transfer armor skin from one armour to another. Skin transfer price is 6 points. This is most cheap way to get not bad skin to body armor.
