What's the purpose of this labyrinth puzzle?

The only timed crank is the one I'm standing at, so I have no clue what the timer could be for. I've tried various combinations of timed crank and then the normal levers, none seem to do it.
Any hints, or straight up solutions, would be appreciated.

I've never ever had timed cranks actually do anything, so I avoid the area if I find them.

Some have no purpose, it happens.

Problem is that there is only about 10 seconds of runtime before the timer stops.
I couldn't find anything else to interact with that could be reached in 10 seconds, even with flamedash and quick silver potions.

timed cranks typically open treasure rooms if you can get there in time. That or they manipulate the trap system sometimes pausing certain trap parts for a short time to allow easier passage. im not familair with the area your in so can help further. ive ignored every timed crank or lever ive seen for the most part. typically figuring out what it does is more dangerous than just dealing with the traps as is (imo)
