The Dream Trial
Is there any point to this prophecy? The last thing I want to do is solve a trial that doesn't count.

Is there a loot box in it? Otherwise I'm sealing it and throwing it away like the garbage it is.

That's for the Uberlab. You'll find one of the Uberlab trials while mapping.

They all have different names "Trial of Stinging Doubt", "Trial of Burning Rage" and stuff like that. There are SIX total trials. Once you beat a trial you are given an "Offering to the Goddess". Once you complete all six trials you have unlocked the "Endgame Labyrinth" (commonly called "uber lab"). It's extra hard and sucks twice as hard if you fail, because it uses up one of the "Offering to the Goddess" items you got. To access the "uber lab", place the "Offering to the Goddess" in the map device. It will open a single portal to the Labyrinth.

You can get new offerings to the goddess by finding more "Dream Trials" in random maps that you do.

The nice part about it is that once you finish your first six trials, you should have 6 Offerings stored up already. And if you get duplicates of a trial that you've already done in another map, you can still complete it for an "Offering to the Goddess". (Which, if you don't want to do them, they do sell for a couple chaos orbs)

Yeah - selling them is a good thing if you have the movement skill to complete them quickly and easily. OR you could stash them - the developers talked at length about adjusting the loot tables and rewards for the later laberynths, so farming them might become a thing.

If so, you can either use the stones to farm yourself or sell them to someone who does. ^^
