maxing your res should be one of your top priorities going into mercielss tho
This too.
Traps don't bother me too well because of my energy shield and speed potion, but when there is a monster encounter and the gamma is super low while I'm apparently standing on a spike trap I can't see at all that's where I mostly die unless I get owned by one of the three bosses.
In any case I'm now prioritizing on buffing my low resistances and defence.
If it is 3rd phase, ask yourself, do you let Izaro gain all the bonus from 1st and 2nd phase?
My witch just complete Cruel Lab 3 levels ago.
She is Elementalist. Playing Golem and Firestorm + Flametotem.
I don't know how to show you my gear/stat. So this is my current passive excluding Ascendancy.
HP = 900
ES = 2400
Firestorm Per Hit = 1100
Firestorm crit chance = 16
Passive ES Generation = 80

At here, I am assuming you have full understanding of how Izaro gain bonus in Labyrinth 1st/2nd phase.
A ruby flask and a granite flask can go a long way to helping you survive, if you can time them for when you know you're going to be hit, but you really also need to focus on increasing your HP pool. If you're going ES, take as many passive nodes as you can to increase your total ES. Don't go all offense.
Running circle around Izaro is very very safe.
Don't look at yourself, look at your most important enemy.
General rule is take about 2 offense node groups (or wheels) early, then focus on defense until you get into the map levels. Expand your offense again there. Otherwise... well you learned that the hard way.
Though is very weird you say want to get aura skill effect increaser, not sure this can help a lot.
