None of the skins offer anything other looks, you can get very high value purchase from the supporter packs, which offer both a full armour set AND the point value of the money spent on them.
Waiting on a sale you can spend $30 of currency to pick up a premium tab, a currency tab and a map tab and you have removed all inconvenience from the game and can enjoy it to it's absolute fullest without hinderence or further payment.
There is nothing to cry about, if you don't want to spend money then thats fine, play for free and enjoy a AAA with devs that actually give a ♥♥♥♥ about their community free of charge. Why are you here crying about it?
They aren't high value purchases. That is the point. Paying $150+ for armor skins is the opposite of a high value purchase.
It would be nice if some of the skins had something approaching a reasonable price. I would like to buy some of them, just not at these prices.
I have never seen these kinds of prices for cosmetic features in a game before. It was quite shocking. That is why I am here.
Fine dont buy them then. Its how consumerism works. You still get to play a game thats better than Diablo 3 for nothing.
It may be new and shocking to you but not only is it not new in the sale of cosmetic items in games, its also not a new pricing strategy in selling many products and has existed for as long as people have been selling things and its proved very successful for GGG. Thats the big issue for you and the others who make this argument. It works and has worked for GGG so the fact you don't like it isn't going to change anything as its a successful method of funding the game. Why would they change because on rare occasions some one like you makes a thread in a forum saying they think its expensive?
They says we support future development, but its future for development new type of mtx only. 9 from 10 news - about new mtx and only 1 about bug fixes.
4000 dollars...pls get your brain examined fast
and to add to this thread: prices are just a laugh and op is right. on top you get spammed with advertising about stupid sales and cosmetics, get put in town with others just for the only purpose to feel bad about your style(mp is almost nonexistent due to game engine crapping out solo already lol)

The last 30 news created:
Of those,
feature new MTX, that's 2/30, which is nowhere near 9/10...
Could we please at least have the facts straight when discussing stuff like this? Deceiving others really isn't something we should stoop down to.
Its also what created the SSF league (partly anyway).
Do i wish it was cheaper for some of the mtx? sure, but I've also bought quite a few supporter packs... including being a beta supporter. The ones that actually matter go on sale quite often, and are relatively cheap.
Plus for people that really want to, you can gift friends stash tabs/buy points (talk to support).
it is literally just armor/weapon skins... Some of the in game assets are already damn good and skin transfers are dirt cheap (Armor transfer when).
I feel like you are making a mountain of a mole hill here.
*insert obligatory "don't like it don't play it/buy it" here*
Fact is this is your option doesnt matter because this game is still alive and growing after 7 years.
Fact is they make so much money to build a console, mobile a path of exile 2 version.
Fact is it this system works very well even if people like you decide not to pay because there are enough people who disagree with you !
Fact is nothing will change!
As far as i understand, we are paying for the development; not in terms of blizzard micro-transactions or leagues micro-transactions. You know when they have money naturally from other sources. It's more like WE are paying for the development (and servers). Hence the prices are up-high.
I could be wrong because i've never seen their financial end of the year report. I know that, that is exactly what the Support Packs do because that's is what they said they are for on their website.
As a customer who likes to throw money left and right, I see support pack as form of "donation" to the game. The items within the "donation pack" are given to me as a thank you. The tabs I bought on discount because they come up often and there's no reason not to for someone like me.
This probably didn't help much.
edit: i haven't actually bought a support pack yet. but i am planning to soon.
