Hunting beasts - map specific?

Do certain maps have certain types of beasts? For example, if I want an amphibian, do I go to maps like bog?

Specifically, I'm looking for this beast and wonder if it is only on certain maps. Thx

Sadly those are RNG as most of the mechanics / loot tables in this game.

Just have to be lucky.

Looks like you already know but remember Zana missions can have Einhar and Einhar himself gives beast missions. You can also use scarabs.

I believe you do want to do the missions mainly in red maps since those give the best chance for the rarer beasts.

Thx, i actually got it again the next mission, but not since then. I need it many times for the "make an imprint of a magic item" so I can craft a ring.

Looks like i can buy it too for 0.8 exalt, but I don't want to spend money if I don't have to.

I have about 150 mission, 90 of them red, I can do for einhar (i stopped doing him long ago after i finished the beast lord achievement), plus I have many scarabs. I have prophesies and can even use sextants if i ever run out.

That's what I did. I ran about 70 red einhar missions I had saved up. Got 3 of the beast bosses and 1 imprint beast and some other decent drops

If you're doing the same thing, maybe you could give me suggestions about crafting.

I have an i-level 84 redeemer magic coral ring with just 25% minion damage on it.

I want to get tier 1 str and life on it.

The first imprint, I tried an orb of augmentation, didn't get what i want, then restored.

I realized i wasted it, i could have used an orb of annulment and hopefully removed the bad mod and kept going, then restore with an imprint when the annulment removed the minion damage.

So i did that the second imprint and realized I'd wasted it again, i could have used the altar's "remove a suffix, add random prefix" to get rid of the bad added suffix and hopefully get a life mod added, or the other way around and use the "remove random prefix and add suffix" if i got a bad prefix.

Next time I get an imprint, I'll try those tricks.

If I do manage to get a life mod, i'll try the "prefixes can not be changed" until i get the suffix (strength) that I want. This is expensive since it takes exalts to do.

On the other hand if I get minion damage + str, I'll have to keep going with imprints and regal it, restoring each time the regal doesn't work out.

Imprints are 0.8 exalt on poe trade, so it's actually cheaper to go with imprints than the "prefixes can not be changed."

Did I miss any tricks to get the most out of imprints?

You seem to have it down pretty much! Its based on current prices , each league is different but yes. The point is to try to annul and add but its only really worth doing on whatever is the best in slot item base and ilvl 85+ (for some of the new influence exalted orbs , some mods only work on those ilvl's or higher) that you are willing to commit exalts into making. Since it will be the last piece you equip in that slot.

But ya. You seem to have it. You can check the forums and youtube for specific bases. Streamers make tons each league about how they are crafting GG items. Can learn some neat stuff in those too.
