On endgame maps you can increase his chance to 100% with scarabs.
He dropped 240 sulphite from a single vein for me on t1 map
They primarily appear in maps, which if you ask me is underusing them to an almost criminal degree, considering how integrated the previous masters were in the acts.
I'm in Act 8, and Niko has only stopped showing up partly through Act 6. Alva has only two incursions left for her temple, and it didn't help much that some of them were wasted due to some weird issues with her quests and the timer inside incursions if you find them before completing her quest. Before completing her quests, the timers don't quite work properly.
She does show up 3 times per zone, so that's also why she's not common now.
Einhar though? He shows up a ton! Like every 3 zones until Act 8 was Einhar land. It was silly. It was like, "Will Einhar help out again? Find out next week, same Einhar Time, Same Einhar channel."
And now I'm imaginging Adam West's Batman being followed around by Einhar shooting exploding bolts at people. "Somedays you just can't get rid of the bomb."
People seem to be seeing different variations in how the people spawn. Which is understandable, but it's most certainly not a case of only doing them after Act 10.
In fact, that's mostly a bad idea. You want to at least poke around in the mines to uncover easier to access currency nodes.
Also, getting 240 sulfite from a single node on a t1 map is amazing, but if you haven't expanded the Sulfite cap, it would be a little awkward to get the others as well. :)
I believe map portals do not expire in your hideout though, so you could run down to the mine and grab the fairly common Azurite nodes.
This is going to happen no matter what until they tweak the upgrade costs, I was doing T10-12 when my delve was in monster level 73. I never skipped any delve missions and I wasn't able to upgrade flares or darkness resist while grabbing every azurite. It wasn't until after my rip on my reroll that I was doing delves closer to my map level but it's still below my maps.
I don't know if they fixed it but doing this ate one of my maps.
You have to look carefully. Alva for example only appears if on Screen. You wont see her name on the map if you are further away. Same for sulphite i think.
League mechanics (Like Delve), is allways reduced or taken away entierly after a league ends.
Think about it, so far we had 17 diffrent leagues... If all of them would pop on every single map you traveled to you would have hours of content on each single one...... Dont make any sense does it?
When a league finishes GGG chose how to inplement the mechanics into the core game or they decide to scrap the league mechanics eniterly, (and trust me their not afraid to do so.)
Just be glad it wasent entierly scrapped or locked behind a 4 chaos paywall at the map device like other old leagues will pop up now and then.
Right, but aren't Niko, Alva, Jun, Zana and Einhar supposed to be our new main masters?
I would simply like to enjoy some delve, because i missed the prior league, but atm it's farming maps over and over, then maaaaybe you find deposits. Then you are allowed to have a bit of fun in delve and back to grinding maps it is.
Currently, it needs a lot of Scarab Farming to get the stuff done. Oye.
