Account banned by an administrator?

I was leveling a new character and right as i hit lvl. 40, i was kicked from the game and my account has been banned. I have not even typed in chat or done anything wrong to my knowledge. Hoping someone can shed some light on this perdicament.

Hope you got something done. Usually GGG support is fast and effective. Has been for me the few times I've needed it.

*Edit* Due to the new league coming out I'd expect a bit of a wait.Probably quite busy with all the issues that the servers are having

This just happened to me as soon as i hit 40 i was banned.

I hit 40 with a betrayal event upgrading a NPC.

I remember hearing about this happening on level 45 last season, the support was able to deal with it though, shoot them an email.

Found a few post saying it can have to do with not playing the game in a long time and having a different ip address. SO having a different ip address and leveling 40 can flag the account. GG GGG

I just heard back from support and I sent the email two hours ago so hopefully unbanned soon myself :)

Email support, its a known issue with the level 40 event. Not sure what the underlying mechanic is, but it seems suspiciously like a poorly written anti-cheat codez.

They have responded to my PMs on the POE forums. No such luck with unbanning the account however. Apparently it needs to get into the hands of the proper team members?
