Path of Exile lore?

I really am interested in the Path of Exile lore. I usually don't give a crap about a game's lore but am interested in PoE. Any novels or comics or fan fics or something? Something that covers the whole story, how they got exiled into that island and how they are fighting to escape their exile

Avoid the youtube videos. Majority of them are narrated by extremely obnoxious and annoying people. The fan fics are pretty good though

i'm not really looking for the history. I just want to know the basic understanding, why they are being exiled to Wraeclast, and fan fiction set in the current PoE timeline. The whole Eternal Empire/Vaal thing bores me to death

Acts 1-3 have decent lore. Anything after that is about the same as Soviets building a huge laser on the moon; you have to consciously ignore the dumbest parts of it and it still makes no sense.

Their char discribtions tell you so.

Marauder: Did not want to be a nice servant.
Scion: Murdered her husband.
Shadow: Deal gone wrong. He was a lose end.
Duelist: Someone insulted him, he killed that person.
Templar: Critizised the status quo.
Witch: Killed a lot of people after they bullied her.
Hunter: Poaching and vagrancy.

Once apon a time a corrupt empire exiled someone they shouldnt of. that exile was exiled to a damned land called wraeclast where the secrets of vaal gem craft where exploited to recreate the immortal empire. The exile then killed everyone who got in its way. In doing so It killed a beast that powered a big bad guys attempt to remake the world. This released a bunch of gods the beast held captive. You then killed the gods. The end.
