Damage they do is meaningless unless you spec for either skill in the build (which you are not).
Storm high tick rate, more procs. Especially for single target like bosses or bosses that move or teleport.
But orb can affect up to 4 enemies provided they are in the area of orb, but usually such enemies(trash mobs) die already without the EO.
I'm running one in ssf now with very unoptimal gear clearing t10-13 maps without any problems and barely dying at all.
