Are they removing Lab completely?
I personally hope not but I heard the streamer SuitSizeSmall who maps for poelab.com say they are getting rid of it in maybe next patch or on new PoE launch.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Uh. This is the first time I've heard of this, and it makes no sense to get rid of the lab.
At least right now.

MAybe further down the line? PoE 2 might have a completely different system.

If you watch the twitch stream for Uber Lab on poelab.com the guy talks about it.

Ah that would be yesterday stream now I guess as midnight has gone. I think you can see all his streams on twitch.

That's what I figured.

Is that an opinion or is there a link that talks about it specifically for 2.0 ? Cheers.

Pretty sure they mentioned it during the q&a panel for exilecon. Having a complete new take to gaining ascendancy points. But it wont leave poe1 as it's already a staple there

Yeah, I remember them talking about getting ascendancy through other means, which doesn't mean that lab will be gone, it might get other rewards and reasons to enter...

Hope so, i left PoE because of how mandatory lab to progression, and i really don't enjoy playing it.
Basicly biggest problem with PoE for me.

Man, if even I can figure out how to do lab, I'm not sure how anyone could leave the game because of it!
WTF.

They've nerfed Izaro so much since the beginning that there's no reason to not do the first two labs now.
It's not even difficult.

Now, yes, Merciless and Uber are balls to the wall hard, but they're meant to be that way.

Might be coming in PoE 2, as they will have a new way to gather ascendancy for the new characters.

Once you get used to it the only difficulty in the lab is getting the unlocks from mapping. First two are easy enough, even under levelled while the third might give the careless a surprise or two its not that difficult.

Having a new take on ascendency points will be for POE2, fairly simple to do as that is an entirely new campaign that runs apart from the current game only meeting up at maps. I'd be very surprised if they ripped it out of the base game, diverting dev time and resources from the new content to do so.

Merciles is a piece of cake on a good character. Well, not exactly a piece of cake, but quite effortless it was for my zombie build anyways. Eternal lab, I don't have experience of that yet...

Uber lab is probably the easiest "endgame" grinds there is. The returns from a full key run is great, and it just becomes trivial after a while.

To increase your chances of finishing it just have anti bleed flasks when running to him then change to something suitable after the fight. Get dark shrines. Choose the days you do it depending on the mechanic cycle
