Is there a 'best' time to buy currency and stash tabs and such?

Just wondering if it would be a good idea to wait a bit before I buy anything so that I get better deal or if I should just buy everything now because it doesn't really matter?

There is a better time, unfortunately you just missed out on the stash tab sale. I would say the stash tabs happen once every 4ish weeks, possibly a couple weeks more.

You save about 25% on tabs through the sale.

As for currency I assume you mean the points. You are better off buying a supporter pack, this way you get skins + points to purchase tabs and such.

It's usually every third weekend, with the occasional delay of a week. (Especially to not hit major patches release weekends)

As far as I know they've never put points on discount so buy when you have funds and wait for a sale on the things you want to pickup. As mentioned the supporter packs are a good deal with cosmetics for a small amount more than the points themselves cost.

If you have steam and GGG accounts linked you should be able to check the sales via poe's website and buy stuff from there if logging into the game isn't possible for whatever reason.

Buy that first time bundle. I cant remember the name for the life of me.since I bought this long time ago. I know you get coins for 20$ (200 coins) + Weapon skin+Avatar skin (Related to official forum like pack supporter badge). Basically you get weapon skin for free and the same amount of coins that you would originaly get if you spent 20$.

After you get coins:

I would HIGHLY suggest to buy stash tabs, the rest is pretty much mandatory. Tabs will make your PoE life so much easier. As people have already mentioned above, wait for sale and try to buy whatever you find the best. For me personally skins have no effect, I don't wanna look pretty I want to stash my items,maps, currency... so whatever you buy from stash tabs, you can't go wrong. Top 3 tabs for me.

1. Currency - Each currency can be stashed up to 5000x , do I need to say more?
2. Maps - Everything organized tier by tier, name by name. You just need to select tier and pick a map.
3. Fragment tab - allows you to put fragments and scarabs. For example Uber lab,Atziri,Shaper fragments, some items from previous leagues like Legion/Breach splinters, Scarabs which you already have like 10+ scarabs.. everything can be placed in this tab. It's awesome if you're looking to do content from previous leagues.

4. (Optional) - Delve Tab. I personally am not big fan of delve, but if you spend great time digging trough those tunnels, I would recommend this one. You can stash all your fossils and resonators and keep it organized.

Do not get Unique collection tab! The reason why I'm not advising this is beause 95% of unique items are literal trash, and it's expensive,unless you're one of those players who want to collect stuff.

Unique collection tab struck me as one that doesn't really serve much of a purpose to anyone that only plays in the leagues, never plays standard and simply does a character purge at the end of each league.

It'd certainly be nice to have as a way of seeing what uniques I've found over the years but they'd just sit there gathering virtual dust.

The unique collectors tab has made about 3 of my six-packs of (premium) stash tabs obsolete in challenge leagues. Yes, I like to collect them... and if it's just to get build ideas and such. Now I have too many run-of-the-mill stash tabs to even use in the challenge leagues -.-'

I buy the unique tab, it's very useful for people who play seasons. Uniques can change from season to season and legacy uniques are worth a lot to collectors.
