PoE is exactly the opposite, the game is heavy directX and windows reliant. So while it was not hard to port it to xbox because the technology is similar (directx api is pratically the same and most of the xbox OS is close to windows). Doing it for PS4 or switch or any other non xbox-type of console is going to be very very hard and and time-consuming as they'll need to recode a lot of the engine (and the engine is the most difficult part to rework when a game is gone that far, you're open to game breaking bugs, technology issues and other nasty issues).
Yeah, no. PS4 and XB1 are comparable enough for that not to matter. And PoE was just announced for PS4 today sooooo..
Honestly, I'm expecting even a Switch announcement pretty soon.
But Grinding Gear games did announce PoE for PS4 so I don't see how Ozz is right at all and why you're standing up for him. Besides, my laptop could run PoE so I don't see why PS4 would be shttier than my laptop.
Another fun fact, I imagine Doom takes a lot more than PoE to run and it was optimized pretty well for switch. Kudos to Panic Button Studios for a job well done.
Also Ozz, don't try to spout sht if you don't have facts.
@ZDuB Yes, because that is totally an ideal situation. It's totally a convenience to have not only an expensive console, but also ANOTHER expensive console that nobody makes games for anymore, and on top of that, your internet needs to pull double duty to not only stream said expensive console to the other expensive console, but also to be able to play a game that requires the internet to play on. I mean here I was thinking that playing on a single device that's much more affordable and can be played on the TV or in portable mode would be a far better idea. I'm such an idiot!
