Does cruel lab require chaos resists?

Izaro kills me in 1 hit with almost everything he does (2650 combined hp/shield, 75% resists except chaos. I spend the whole fight running around desperately trying to dodge until he finally hits me and I die. I barely have time to even attack him, and I die every time. This feels too unforgiving. I have -30% chaos resist, is that the problem?

No, just don't eat any big attacks and you should be fine.

also make sure to not buff izaro with the first 2 phases if you lack the damage to kill him quite fast. also decoy totem could help

with those stats you should be more than fine in cruel lab. make sure you arent powering him up like was mentioned.

Izaro is almost pure physical unless you buff him with an element. I'd look on your physical mitigation to solve that problem, also bringing granites or stibnites would help you

What? No. They do not.

Sorry, misread your post. You do need some way to deal with the chaos damage in incursions though, namely hte constructs. Atziri's Promise + Phase Acro usually gets the job done.

yeah incursions and temples are definitely much more comfortable with some chaos resist. you dont need to max it but at least being positive makes a big difference if you find yourself dying to purple crap.

i went ci myself and feel very good about that decision this league.

izaro does pure physical damage, zero chaos. the first 2 fights against him however can add elemental damage to his output, attackspeed and generally "more"

but chaos damage is not a thing in any version of izaro as far as i know, and im rather sure on that one.

his mortar attack is 50% phys 50% fire i believe

Get some gear. 2650 combined health is really low. If you cannot afford getting some hp gear try to get def flasks that buffs your armor etc.
