Hack?
So I bought a gem with 20 quality and my anti virus went absolutely nuts even displaying item names and such with "Phishing attempt."
After about 40 notifications that drove me nuts, I restarted the game and the gem quality went away, is this a known hack or something? rip 15 chaos, dunno how secure my account is atm but hopefully my anti-virus blocked everything.
Edit: over 100 notifications.

Why do people not give out information with this? No exact messages, no screenshots of messages, no logs, no nothing. Doesn't even say what "bought a gem" really means, might be a malicious ad on the website they visited to buy it. This whole lack of information makes it seem like a troll...

Okey so to clarify, poe.trade, 20% quality faster attacks gem, no messages just hi want to buy went and bought and insta madness.
I use Bitdefender 2017 free edition, now everytime I go to POE Wiki I get phishing attempts.
Furthermore changed passwords, and I won't be uploading pictures just cuz it's annoying but it looks like Phishing attempt d1u5p3l4wpay3k.cloudfront.net/pathofexile_gamepedia/5/5a/Hunter%27s_Reward_card_art.png?version=90dced17eb09cd50bc30d79001bbcbd3.
I noticed it happens most of the time only when checking gems and divination cards + exalted orbs and stuff like that when I logout now BUT with gems and div cards you would see something like .cloudfront.net/pathofexile_gamepedia/thumb bla bla exalted orb yara yara.

I scanned using bitdefender and premium malwarebytes couldn't find anything and yet checking a poe wiki now gets me notifcations ingame or not, it's F##### annoying.

So no logs, no screenshots of what's going on, in other words utterly uncooperative. No need to be subscribed to this thread any more.

Maybe your A/V flags the image hosting sites of the items as malicious since they use trackers to collect data, i been using webroot for years but the only thing that triggers a webroot prompt is that after every update it ask me to give permission for POE.exe to acces the web.

Do some minore test like restarting browser without add on or take down one at a time for ex.
Also i recall several months there was some issue i cant recall if it was filter related that produced tons of notifications on some people.

Hmm that does make sense I'm just wondering why the gem reverted to no quality after a relog, but my initial question to everything was if anyone know about such a hack because I've never read about hacks on poe forums or such before, but I'm not a vet at the game so dunno.
Thanks for the suggestion will try a different filter as well.

Sure you weren't just scammed and the gem didn't revert?

It happens a f*ck-ton of times. People put in the same thing, but with varying stats. At a clance, you might not notice the change.

It's okay to say that you f*cked up. Happens to most of us..

The whole AV-thing isn't tied to the game. It's something else completely. Might be the wiki, as someone mentioned.

Nah I'm positive because the gem was still 20% quality when I put it in my stash tab, that's when it started and that's when I relogged to find it reverted back, I even destroyed it for if something was connected to the gem, so phishing attempts got blocked, changed passwords, reinstalled game, everythings fine not getting anymore notifications.

It's possible I guess that it could have not been the gem considering after this websites such as poe ninja and the wiki also created alerts, but that wouldn't explain it reverting that would just make it even more of a mystery. I looked at the gem and made sure the guy accepted to trade before me.

Are you 100% positive the person handed you the same thing you saw on Poe.trade? I’ve had people attempt that crap before.
