whats best way to get portal scrolls for you guys? vendor recipe or currency.poe.trade

Normally if you just pick them up you shouldn't have any issue. I ended this league with about 1200 scrolls, just by picking them up from time to time.

i have a max quality portal gem but i decided to lose my chest piece for a kaom's heart so that i can have 5k hp at least on a ranger. so less gems available

you need a kaoms to reach 5k? sounds like everywhere else low life stats :P

im a raider with every gear pieces with 40+ health and two abyssal sockets with 45+ health and quiver is 80 + health... everythin is plus health but its still not enough

i use doomfletch's prism royal bow btw so lots of phys damage increase as well.
i would like to have more health. how much ex are you talking when saying i should have more hp?

if you have life on all your gear and a kaoms and 5k you probably have very little on your tree then. shoot for at least 160% increased max life on your tree as a ranger.

as for portal scrolls, i usually just try to pick up 1 per map and then i never really have to buy them. portal gems cast really slowly compared to clicking a scroll so i dont use them much.

i have many life perks in my tree. maybe not enough i guess. next passive reset i'll look for builds with more life passive life perks.

going with these stats I would guess you have something like 130-140% inc life on tree. 170% is more or less minimum you should aim for. moreover 40+ life rolls sounds not that high either. 70+ life is more suitable

its still way slower than clicking a scroll unless your build has a ton of cast speed or something

also then you are dumping a bunch of gcps into a portal gem

Run breaches, get portal gem cards. I've gotten two 20% portals (which is plenty fast), and about 10 others 10%+. Just got another today, think is is 9% - sells for a whole 2 chaos now.

If you pick up any scrolls after level 70 or so, you are doing it wrong. For wisdom scrolls, just pick up transmutation orbs which vendor for 4 wisdom scrolls (and you don't use that many to begin with - crafting).
