I DIE in Act 5 HC EVERY TIME...

So far I lost 7 hardcore chars in Act 5 to the Dreaded Boss that has 3 stages and spams electric bolts...

Im usually not the type to post topic at first problem..

I dont play SC ever, I usually always solo HC, so I only got used to his mechanic in HC. I KNOW there is a method he has patters and everything...BUT ♥♥♥♥ ITS OUTRAGEOUS.

My last char Barb had 2800 DEF! 1.8k Health , 120 Regen a SEC, Def all Resist all 80%+, Im chugging Elemental Res Flasks with 90% Defense, and Granite Flask.
STILL HE ♥♥♥♥ING ONE SHOTS ME ON NORMAL

With all of that gear all stats, I know you gotta hide from his "Waves" behind a statue BUT IN HIS SECOND AND THIRD FORM he does it very fast and RANDOMLY as I'm hitting him. He just one shot another ♥♥♥♥ing hardcore character that took a lot currency and time to build up.


Is there anything I can use???(unique item, flask??) anything besides a party, would be very greatful thank you

1) never use *real* melee skills like Glacial Hammer or Heavy Strike. They are usually bad (ggg does not care about balance). Sunder is great for leveling.
2) you have to jump the boss behind your back (use leap slam or qiucksilver flask) when he use fire beam. If you die from beam too fast, youre flask and resistance or hp is totally crap (or can you be an autistic).
3) if you die from fire orb, you should know the boss always says specific text before using orb skill.
4) abuse. fckin. portals. Do not need to be in the arena with the boss without having charged flasks or when the arena is filled fire orbs.
5) buy boss kill from other players.

Oh really?

I did both Avarius and Kitava in act 5 with Heavy Strike and Leap Slam last night. No need to zerg either; just learn their mechanics, apply yourself with movement and damage.

Glacial Hammer has been great in Abyss league. The mechanics of Innocence and Kitava may take some time to learn but once you get it it's easy peasy.

i build arround 50 chars since "new acts" was build in and i died only one time to innocence oneshot and this was NOT innocence himself.. it was a statue which oneshots me.

if you want to kill innocence below 2 min where he didnt react a single time ( only changes to minion spawn mode) try srs on a tabula. he will not hit you one time, you could be naked except tabula

Yes, since you can very easily portal out to refill them

Or he came from Grim Dawn where by default resists cap at 80%

Well it's not something that I practice. For example my 3.2 leaguestarter gets 10k EHP and sustain of 65% of EHP per second while having shaper viable DPS.
