Barrage or Blast rain ?

So im doing a cold conversion character with ice shot and using lioneye's glar with hits cannot be avoided plus FAR SHOT and im considering droping barrage and try blast rain in its place for single target.

Am i crazy ? i tested it on a 4 link and it does way more dmg already most of the dmg is cold of course because of my items and tree, im not fully aware of how conversion works yet so im asking for some advice, i can benefit from the far shot perk with blast rain and the skill already have aoe so its a nice addition for some bosses, plus is way safer to use as an evasion character.

Im a raider btw.

Suggestions ?

blast rain is a viable single target skill. i think barrage will end up scaling better at high gear levels though.

I personally prefer Blast Rain, I like having an indirect shot that centers on a specific area sometimes. As opposed to the vector targeting of Ice Shot.

But Barrage is certainly just as good.

I can't really speak to which will scale best at the highest levels of play though.

i think so but im not sure. either way if blast rain is feeling a lot better to you then stick with it and see how far you can push it. it might be better for you if you have a lot of elemental damage on the tree due to the built in conversion.

my real question is why deadeye? raider seems like a much better choice.

Im a raider, i have far show because of the lioneye's bow, i wanted a fast clearer and far shot with ice shot is absurd in clear, i clear 2 screens away with each shoot, plus is really safe for those cases you need to run those nasty maps, i finished the story at lvl 66 rushing it like a boss, equiped the bow and went straig to tier 8 maps, almost one shotting stuff, but the single target is still awfull, easily the worst i had of my 3 toons, and the fun part is that i built this with the mindset of farming bosses eventually, i guess i have a long way to run tho, im only lvl 80 atm with the same gear i had for 66. I can do t10, but thats it, i need to upgrade and figure out how to deal good single target

Blast Rain starts out great but ends up being not so efficient late game. Barrage is more stable dps endgame, Buy only on Max levelled gems with atleast 5 Links.

Thats good to know, and it sounds right since almost every single bow user in the game uses it to do single target, still, most ppl use Chin Sol plus point blank and im using Lioneyes, it clears way faster, im using both skills on 5link, and the single target isnt that bad but i do easily 3 times the dmg with my cyclone pure physical bleed build and its werid and i dont understand why, maybe its the gear making a difference but not THAT big, my Lioneye is a nice one and im using a belly of the beast atm, i have queen of the forest with 5l but my hp goes down to 4300 and its unacceptable for me.

Is there a good enchant for the blast rain?

the gem that adds projectiles to barrage makes it damage much higher than the dps number displayed
