Iron Grip is there as an option for Marauders that want to be Bow users, and maybe for Duelists.
A Ranger isn't going to have that much strength to convert, and Iron Grip is a loooooooong way from the Ranger start. Rangers have a lot better options for boosting physical damage much closer to their start.
And for a scion?
So, is iron grip good for scion, depends on the scion, depends on the ranger, depends on the duelist etc.
Depends also on the skill, stuff like molten strike i.e. melee projectile skills, might be good with iron grip. Spectral throw too if you use high str weapons with it.
Get path of building and route a tree.
Certainly it's (more of) a possibility for a Scion, but it's still a bit of a reach through a lot of nodes that don't actually help Bow users that much. It's still way off on the lower left-hand side of the tree.
A Scion has more options, but I still think heading down the Ranger path and staying more to the lower right side of the tree would be a better option (assuming of course that we're building a bow user).
It's still specifically a Strength conversion for a weapon user that ought to be prioritizing Dex. There's nothing wrong with the skill itself, but ... the investment in reaching it doesn't seem worth it (to me).
